MISSION STATEMENT

Our mission at ABC KIDS is to provide a place of shelter and care for abandoned babies , toddlers and older children in the rural Southern Johannesburg (South Africa) area.

Maxi Stocking, our director, volunteered at a baby sanctuary 1996 where babies infected/affected by the HIV/AIDS virus lived. In 1997 Maxi became so aware of the needs of the babies, they applied to the Social Department to foster children. Within three weeks after their application they received their first baby (Abraham). Maxi's extended family rapidly grew to eight children in the first six months. Maxi applied to the social department for a Non Profit Organisation, and ABC Kids was established in 1997. Majority Board members are members from the St Francis Anglican Church of which Maxi and the children are members.Maxi is a mother to all of the children.

All children are available for adoption.
